Yard Shepherd
a firefighter (usually overwieght and unfit) who is of no use on the fire ground. this person will don s.c.b.a., grab a pike pole, and stand in the front yard attempting to appear as if he/she is important. however, this firefighter appears closer to a shepherd herding his sheep.
firefighter a: “ann took my pike pole! look at her, she is standing on the front lawn doing nothing!”
firefighter b: “ha! she is a yard shepherd!”
