Australian Thanksgiving
in australia, the australian thanksgiving all started with the great “pillage the wallaby’s run”. this event was called upon by the prime minister on may 1, 1657, to boost the country’s morale after the tragic kangaroo shortage in the prior year. the wallaby run transformed into the australian thanksgiving where all cities congregate to hold a m-ssive wallaby hunt the night before, and feast on the day of australian thanksgiving. nowadays, the traditions have slowly faded and people will just purchase already prepared wallaby dinners from their local grocer.
i’m sure glad i have these wallaby’s already in the freezer for australian thanksgiving!
