enronsoxing is the political practice of hurriedly p-ssing shortsighted law in response to politician’s urgent need to do something after a long neglected problem has exploded onto the public consciousness. true enronsoxing must have two parts, the rapid creation of bad law and the preceding neglect and inaction during a time when the problem could have been addressed responsibly. its etymology comes from the sox (sarbanes-oxley) legislation p-ssed in response to the enron crisis.
housing bailout legislation looks to be cl-ssic enronsoxing.
