finger picking
finger picking is a technique that can be used when playing the gutiar. instead of using a guitar pick, you use your fingers to pluck the strings.
..and if you understand some music terminology:
as there is only a treble cleff for guitar notation unless it is a b-ss guitar, when using the finger picking technique you can ‘imitate’ b-ss and treble because you can pluck more than one string at a time. you can then play a song with rhythm and melody, as opposed to what you would usually be restricted to playing with a regular guitar pick (chords, and solos).
