forum farting
the act of correcting someone else in a forum (internet or in real life) in a manner where no one else appreciates the correction other than the person doing correcting. usually the person doing the correction is also factually incorrect.
i had to sit in on a meeting with the corporate executives today. they pretty much spent the whole time congratulating themselves on a job well done and forum farting on one another about technical details of a the project they understood poorly.
