Heavy rock


heavy rock is a genre that is lighter than metal, yet harder than rock and does not fall into other metal catagories such as alt metal or nu metal. it sometimes has “alternative” rock overtones.
bands that would be considered heavy rock would be sevendust, dark new day etc. the term heavy rock is generally used for more modern hard rock bands, where as hard rock is used for older bands such as scorpions, ac/dc etc.
