there is a lot of h-m-eroticism in the air when al and chido are present.
the s-xual attraction that exists between members of the same s-x. it is not necessarily h-m-s-xual; rather it exists as a tension between heteros-xual norms and expectations and natural attraction between two members of the same gender. it exists strongly in single-gender sp-ces, such as sports teams, rap music and pro-wrestling, however it is acted out through heteros-xual norms, often placing a wedge between the h-m-erotic tension and the hetero norms of the sp-ce.
in professional wrestling, many of the moves are eerily reminiscent of s-xual positions. the tension of these positions, in combination with extreme close proximity, creates h-m-eroticism. this is subverted by using derogatory slang towards h-m-s-xuals and women in particular, in order to re-ssert traditional masculinity and heteros-xuality.
h-m-eroticism is the noun referring to the highly charged s-xual tension brought about when two members of the same s-x (usually men of whom one or both are generally believed to be heteros-xual) behave in a way that displays closeness, s-xual chemistry, flirtation and other actions that if were occuring between a man and a woman, it would be obvious that the two fancied each other and were probably sh-gging.

some women (and gay men) find h-m-eroticism so exciting and hot that they read and write slash or bandfic which are stories that explore the possible relationships men who act in a h-m-erotic way in real life could have/be having.
example:
when two hot male singers in a rock band are on stage and share a mic, rip off their shirts and hug, play-wrestle and sing lyrics about the intensity of their relationship. (see mic-sharing)

person 1: ‘wow the libertines are f-cking amazing, are the frontmen pete doherty and carl barat sh-gging?’

person 2: ‘well they both have girlfriends but all this h-m-eroticism must be making them both hard as h-ll, i bet they’re all over each other as soon as this show finishes… it’s certainly giving me a huge erection’

person 1: ‘it must be the s-xually charged atmosphere in here, i’ve already come twice during this gig’
male interaction that appears h-m-s-xual in nature, but is acceptable and not considered h-m-s-xual (by other men) because it done in a socially appropriate setting (i.e. sports).
for example, in sports like football when men slap each other on the -ss, their actions are not h-m–like because they are in uniform and playing a “manly” and aggressive game. therefore their aggressive and manly behavior denotes the underlying h-m-s-xual tendency of slapping another man on the -ss. “oh that’s not gay, they are just using h-m-eroticism”

another example can be seen through the sport of wrestling, where men are frequently on top of each other in various s-xual positions but are not considered h-m- because they are enacting manly behavior through physically fighting. they also scream demeaning names at each other like “b-tch” and “p-ssy” in order to negate any thoughts of h-m-s-xuality by using a term that is generally demeaning to females.

when one is attracted (and aroused) by people of the same s-x as them but this act is not perceived as h-m-s-xual

h-m-phobia is fueled by heteros-xuals who exaggerate the gender norms -ssigned by our society to validate their s-xuality. paradoxically, heteros-xuals have found a way for h-m-eroticism to be socially acceptable while still placing negative emphasis on h-m-phobia. by developing techniques to normalize heteros-xuality and “other” h-m-s-xuality, the dominant group continues to mistreat and alienate those who are different from them. h-m-phobia targets marginalized groups that ultimately reproduces s-xism, racism, and cl-ssism.
women often experience h-m-eroticism when they look at sports ill-strated swimsuit models and think that they look s-xy.
having a sense of attraction to someone who share the same s-x. h-m-eroticism is not only used for h-m-s-xual connotation but also for heteros-xual content. (i.e. good impression or image, favorite personality and appearance to a person with the same s-x)
most women have some extent of h-m-eroticism to female models and actresses in the media because they have a perfect body (thin, big breast, firm stomach, tanned skin, long leg…etc…). conversely, also a lot of men have some extent of h-m-eroticism to male model and actors. (six-packs, thick chest, big shoulder, tanned skin…etc…)

our ideology is socially constructed based on our s-x, race and cl-ss. the example is portrayed beauty ideology of how we should look if i am a woman or a man. in american society, “beautiful” people are dominantly white.
