ishmak
noun: any utensil, tool, or object intended to be used to stir the contents of a pipe or clear the bottom of the pipe to allow for better air flow while smoking.
often incorrectly called a “poker” (a large iron fireplace tool), a “pokey” (an archaic term for prison), or “bowl stirrer” (an object already in existence called a whisk, confirmed as an inefficient ishmak). these terms are wrong.
it is called an ishmak.
