similar to “rain on my parade.” but much more serious. in a parade, if it rains a little bit on part of the parade you can still enjoy the rest of it. however, if you have a huge cake and even a little tiny bit of p–p gets on it the entire cake is ruined. in fact if even a little bit of p–p is next to a cake, the enitre cake is ruined.
