the snack you eat while waiting for another snack to be ready. most often encountered when cooking or otherwise waiting for the main snack to be ready.
person 1: -returns to couch from kitchen-
person 2: “dude, didn’t you just put bagel bites in the oven? why are you eating that string cheese?”
person 1: “chill bro, this string cheese is just my pre-snack the bagel bites are on the way in 12 minutes”
