when working on a team, one or more team members comes up with either an action or plan that takes the project out of the $hitter and makes everyone look good. this term can be used for team sports where one or more players makes a turn-around play that the outcome makes the team look good.
i thought for sure we were gonna get canned for wasting company time, but man, your idea to (fill in the blank)really saved the cake!
