verb. to get rid of something undesirable (e.g. a task or object) by placing the responsibility or burden on someone else, usually a tool or a sucker, especially through trickery or manipulation, resulting in lulz. similar to “p-wn off,” but more casual and fun.

in trick-based card games, to deliberately lose a high card for strategic reasons. implies not only getting rid of the card, but underplaying it relative to its potential.
