sledge hockey


ice hockey for people with a physical disability. has the same rules as ice hockey, but with some changes. each player uses a sledge with two skates underneath it. they move forward on the ice using two short hockey sticks with sharp metal teeth at one end and a blade on the other.
many players are disables because they has amputated one or both of their legs, while others play because they are paralyzed.
him: “oh, what is that sport?”
her: “it’s sledge hockey. like ice hockey for people with disabilities!”
him: “it looks hard!”
