the act of swatting ones friend while trying to swat a fly. can also be used to reference the attempt of killing any other bug and hitting a person instead.
“oh, i’m sorry,” said jane after slapping her friend with a newspaper in an attempt to kill a fly. “i totally just swy flotted you,” she added pointing to the lucky fly making its escape.
