tsundere

tsundere is a slang born on the internet, and it is a word to describe the nature of female anime or game characters. tsundere is a word combining two words, “tsun tsun” and “dere dere”. both terms describe att-tudes of a person. “tsun tsun” is used for cold/blunt/curt att-tude, while “dere dere” is used when a person becomes spoony in front of his/her lover.

therefore, “tsundere” is a female character who is usually cold, but she becomes spoony on her lover. or, she is cold to the main character at first, but she becomes lovestruck later.
1: being on the surface sharp and sarcastic (tsuntsun) but underneath lovestruck and fawning (deredere); characteristic of a gap between acted out actions and feelings in mind;
2: normally being sharp but at some prompt suddenly becoming lovestruck; hot-cold personality type

j-panese slang for one who is not nice and gets p-ssed off easily on the outside, but deep in the inside, is nice, caring, and gentle at all costs to the main character. it is usually used in anime/manga. the tsundere character usually shows his/her tsundere-ness in the later episodes/volumes/chapters.
