what’s eating gilbert grape? is one of the best oscar-winning movies ever. seriously. johnny depp, playing gilbert grape, is a 20-something young man who takes care of his mentally r-t-rded younger brother (leonardo dicaprio), obese mother, and 2 teenage sisters. what’s eating gilbert grape? is simultaneously heartbreaking and heartwarming. see it! johnny depp is amazingly profound and just fantastic in this movie!! not to mention, he is georgeous! leonardo dicaprio, as arnie (gilbert grape’s mentally r-t-rded younger brother)is also stupendous in this film, which is one if his first major successes as a serious actor.
