a fict-tious (imaginery) week when country people come to town; a time of year when stupid things happen.
(someone has sone something stupid – i.e leave the door/window open when it’s raining, left the milk out on a hot day…etc)

bush week is not an allusion to the colloquialism referring to a woman’s genitalia, at least… not intentionally.
