carney hole
a carney hole is a unique place on a map in fps games, especially in halo. a carney hole will frequently give the user of the spot an advantage in certain situations. some spots are good sniper spots, give a good vantage point of the rest of the map, or a great places to hide.
carney holes are named after chris carney. chris carney is a software designer and environmental artist for bungie, the makers of halo.
