Cronan
a rare irish name which has its roots from more than 25 irish patron saints. old name meaning dark brown. it origionated from the cronins of cork later to become a first name cronan. the name has two fada’s over the o and the a which lenghten the vowel. in new irish the word cronan means purr e.g. ta cat ag cronan “the cat was purring”.
