fruits basket is about a girl named tohru.
she goes to live with sohma family and just as she moves in she uncovers a shocking secret. when a sohma family member is hugged by the opposite s-x they turn into there zodiac sign animal. the series gets better and better as it goes on. the last 2 episodes are very emotional.

a wonderful anime that is hilarious and moralistic. very lovable. was originally a comic for girls in j-pan. can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders.
episode 14 is hilarious. the characters are very original. the idea is also original.
a character rather than plot based manga about sixteen year old tohru honda, who lives with the sohma family after her mother’s death. she discovers the sohma family secret, that they are possessed by the 13 animals of the chinese zodiac, and when they become weak or get hugged by someone of the opposite s-x, they turn into their zodiac animal. tohru becomes friends and helps over come fears and troubles with all of them.

there are an awful lot of main characters, and you can divide them into separate catergories, cursed and non cursed.

the anime is stupid, and ends after 26 episodes, and only goes up to book 8. there are 20 (at least) fruits basket books published in j-pan.

i love fruits basket.
the story of 16 year old tohru honda who lives by herself in a tent after her grandfather has to remodel. she runs into the sohma family and she learn that the family is cursed! the family turns into animals of the chinese zodiac when hugged by a member of the opposite s-x! very original story by natsuki takaya-sensei and beloved anime/manga. i highly recommend this to any anime/manga fan!
