Monumenting
this activity is touring the monuments and memorials of washington dc (jefferson, lincoln, washington, vietnam war, korean war, wwii, roosevelt, etc…) in a fashion befitting the students of the various dc-area schools (au, gw, gtown, howard, catholic, udc, umd-college park etc). this involves running up and down on the national mall in various stages of intoxication, inebriation, or just being f-cked up. usually occurs between the hours of 10 pm and 2 am. may involve throwing up on the steps to the american history museum if you’re a little too crossfaded.
au student: yo, we’re going monumenting after going to the hawk and dove.
georgetown student: ok, i’ll make a stop at the liquor store. one or two handles of svedka?
gw student: obviously two. dude we’re pregaming the hawk and monumenting.
