passive spam

p-ssive spam is basically a facebook or other social network post that has a completely pointless call to action. the defining factor is that the quiz or question is not meant to offer any type of challenge, but instead is simply a tool to arbitrarily increase page reach.
p-ssive spam consists of stupid quiz-like questions on facebook that either require some small amount of math or -n-lytical skills (in order to make the people responding feel intelligent…even though they aren’t)

also, the cl-ssic “like or my grandmother will die” type posts. in this context the spammer is using the person’s good nature to accomplish their goals instead of the person’s desire to answer a question (that usually is incredibly simple to figure out).
