practicing violin
an action meant to improve a musician’s playing skills on the violin, sometimes called a fiddle. often produces noises similar to a cat which has been run over by a car. may also cause immense frustration in the musician or others around him/her, so watch out for potentially dangerous flying objects which have been thrown across the room.
johnny was very diligent at practicing violin, much to the dismay of both his family and his dog, fido.
