to begin to leave in protest, and then change your mind and remain. especially for televised interview, wherein you have removed your microphone, begun to storm out, and then decide to stay and conduct the remainder of the interview with the microphone detached and sitting on a table in front of you. the motivation to stay may evince an addiction to attention, particularly from television cameras. from a 2009 larry king interview with carrie prejean.
