a statement or exclamation posed in the form of a question, that you know the answer to or know what you want for a response. this is a common practice in the british empire and former colonies.
example… “do you really think you need to continue investigating russia?”
or the cl-ssic “would you jump off a bridge if everyone else did?”
parents will often ask quegestions to their children.
