a verb meaning completely dissimilar to marmite. for something to be ‘rootkin’ it must possess none of the chemical properties of marmite, or be perceived socially in a similar way. it must be a different colour, texture and taste to marmite, and when faced with consumption must react entirely differently to the resignation with which marmite allows itself to be eaten. there must be a minimum of three different opinions on anything which is rootkin.
