social theocracy
an informal system of government whereby mob rule reigns, with the most charismatic members of the mob rising to rulers. tribal and gang-like in their nature, incentives to conform include ostracizing, bullying and peer pressure among others.
melissa was the high-priestess of her clique, managing it like comedic improv, imposing it’s cardinal rule: never divert the flow of your partners; always go with the flow. in this way her clique’s social theocracy embraced the cult of charismatic conformity.
