an attempt to create a happy medium between disco-era bell-bottoms and new-wave spandex that failed miserably. they are usually high-waisted, full-seated, and quite narrow at the ankle (their character trait). still sold in stores like wal-mart, mervyns and kohls and worn mostly by suburban moms who don’t watch desperate housewives or s-x in the city.
