Time Pit
something that absorbs a significant amount of time but offers little-to-no benefit.
mmorpgs are time pits. due to them millions of people spend countless hours online building up worthless, meaningless avatars. why don’t mmorpg gamers do something more productive (like anything, for example) with their time?
i can’t get anything done anymore because my girlfriend molly keeps calling me to tell me long-winded, pointless stories about the most inconsequential details of her life. she is a time pit.
