a crystalline tropane alkaloid also known as cocaine. the derivation of “white salmon” coming from the idea that those that use cocaine tend to have runny noses. in inhaling the white powder, one can image the powder going upstream against the flow of the runny nose….as salmon do. convoluted? perhaps. ingenious? quite.
1. in the end, henry hill’s downfall as a mobster is undoubtedly attributed to his involvement in the trafficking and usage of the white salmon.
