wile man
wile man. colloquial irish.
a name given to a man or boy who holds a certain special quality, and frequently causes much amus-m-nt for his friends and peers.
to demonstrate that a subject is a ‘wile man’, one must make an ‘l’ shape with one’s finger and thumb and hold the shape under the subjects chin.
“paddy? uck paddy is a wile man!”
