Death by Fish
a phrase which can either refer to an embarr-ssing death or alternatively, a deathly emarr-ssing incident. originally created when a cardboard fish was torn up for palettes and someone placed each half of the fish on either side of their body, to make it look like they had just been skewered by a fish.
example 1
“i hear that joe walked straight into town without any clothes on yesterday.”
“yeah, that was a death by fish!”
example 2
a guy who was drunk, drove his truck up to a bridge, got some rope out of his boot, tied himself to his truck and jumped off the bridge. the rope riped his legs off and he fell into the river but because he didn’t have any legs, he couldn’t swim and he drowned.
