most of the new punk bands are pop punk but there are also street punk, goth punk, ska punk, hardcore punk, celtic punk and other subgeneras of punk bands
fall out boys is one of the most know new punk bands out.
one of the original names for io punk music which comes form the u.k in the late w’s and early 80’s. also known as: street punk, streetpunk, or real punk. mostly known now as street punk but still called oi.

the general ideology of the original oi! movement was a rough sort of quasi-socialist working cl-ss populism. lyrical topics included unemployment, workers’ rights, har-ssment by police and other authorities, and oppression by the government.
