Jhandi Munda is a traditional Indian casino game that has been very popular for many years. While the exact origins of the game are not known, we do know it came from Arunachal Pradesh.
Other names of the game include Langur Burja, which is how the game is known in Nepal and Crown and Anchor, which is what the game was called by English sailors who were in the region.
Thanks to the online Jhandi Munda game we have seen a resurgence in popularity with players, not only in India but also around the world. This has been a trend with Indian games as a whole, with the arrival of online play, many are making a real comeback and appealing to a brand new audience that have never played before.
Definition of the Game
Jhandi Munda is classed as a dice gambling game. This means that the game is based on the outcome of rolls with multiple dice. In this game, you have a set of six dice which are used and these are the standard six-sided dice that we all recognize.
However, these are not numbered, instead they have symbols on them which are used in the game. These are clubs, diamonds, spades, hearts, flags and faces, which are the four suits of a card deck plus two more.
The game is defined by these six symbols, and regardless of the variation of game you play, six symbols will always be used.
How to Play Jhandi Munda
At first glance, many people will look at Jhandi Munda and think it is a complicated game but that is not the case. It is a game of chance, and one that you can follow comfortably, even if you are relatively new to any form of casino gaming.
You place a bet on which of the symbols will appear the most when you roll the six dice. The more they appear, the more you win. The host of the game, sometimes known as the dealer, will throw the six dice and see where they land.
The player who has their symbol on show the most is the winner, if your symbol does not appear on the dice then you will lose your stake, which is taken by the winning player.
So, for example there are six people playing who each choose a symbol, one of them appears three times, three others appear once and two do not appear. The person who backed the symbol which appeared three times is the winner, they win their own stake back plus the stake of the two people who placed a bet on the two symbols that did not appear. They are deemed the losers and lose that money.
As you can see from this, there is no technique or skill required to play Jhandi Munda, this is purely a game of chance that you can relax and enjoy. A seasoned player with years of experience has just the same amount of knowledge and chance to win as someone who is playing their very first game.
